How To Pull Off A Wedding in 10 Days - Day 3

Yesterday was all about perspective.

Perspective that at the end of next Friday Claire and Carr will be married and they will be the happiest couple I know.

Perspective that God loves both the details and the big picture. He is both left brain and right brain, isn't that wild?

Perspective that no, I don't know where I am going to live or who I am going to live with (I got that question 4 times yesterday, 2 of which by complete strangers!), but God does.

Perspective that sometimes warm brownies really do make the world seem like a better place.

And perspective about this kid.

He was hurt yesterday. A strong wind blew a sign off of a building that he and his mom were coming out of and it fell on his head. At that very moment, a firetruck full of firemen (angels, I'm sure) pulled into the parking lot and saw what happened and rushed to help. An ambulance was called and transported him to the nearest hospital, and several hours later his sweet head was full of staples and stitches.

Thankfully he was never knocked unconscious but I can only imagine how much worse it could have been.

Perspective is a really good thing, my friends.

A bridesmaid dress can wait another day.
