Birthday Party on Wheels

Catch-up #2: Lizz's birthday party.

This is Lizz.
a.k.a. the birthday girl.

This is the huge car she rented for all of us to drive around in on her birthday.
Isn't she generous?

So, for Lizz's birthday, we went golfing.

Wait, scratch that.

So, for Lizz's birthday, we went to the driving range pretending to golf.

This is Vanessa.
a.k.a. First-time golfer and all-around great at everything

And here are Eric and Tyler
a.k.a. I am not really sure.

And here are a few of Lizz's friends.
a.k.a. I can't remember their names but I know I liked them.

And this is Tyler (yes, there were two)
a.k.a. He is married to the girl in the black shirt above and is actually really good at golf.
Go figure.

And this is Caitlin.
a.k.a. She did not like golf very much but I like her shirt.

This is Jen and Scott.
a.k.a. The newlyweds and spectators of our amazing driving efforts.

And this is my cool glove.
a.k.a. I look like Michael Jackson when I play golf.
Minus the weirdness.

A great time was had by all even though we had some near-death experiences with renegade golf balls and valiant attempts to hit them.

The only other thing I want to mention here is that every time we go to the driving range, Eric and I bet on who can hit the farthest or most accurate drive. And every time, I lose. Miserably. I think I owe him a few movies and an ice cream cone. I'm trying not to be bitter.

But...

But...

On this glorious day, on this day that shall live on in infamy, I beat him.

I BEAT HIM!

And for that, he bought my hamburger. And now he is very bitter, which is totally fine with me.

Don't be sad for him.

Our second stop on this progressive birthday party was to Red Robin, where endless baskets of the world's best fries were consumed in mere seconds.
But first, let me introduce you to my boyfriend:

I love him.

And him. And him. And him.

They arrived from Happy Cakes, a gourmet cupcake shop in Highlands. I could live there.
I am not kidding.

I had the chocolate salted carmel cupcake. Or in other words, I had heaven wrapped in perfection topped with sea salt. It doesn't get any better.

Especially when it follows a free hamburger.

Heh heh heh.

Here are some more of Lizz's friends of whose names I don't recall.
But I know I liked them. All of them.

And here are Lizz and I. I felt like I was taking a senior picture or something.

And here are even more people who shall remain nameless. But I guarantee that they all loved their hamburgers and cupcakes.

Next up: Volleyball. I told you this was a party on wheels.

Even the little ones got to play.

And just when we thought we couldn't possibly handle one more exciting thing, this dude arrived:

His name is Cody and he is a horse-dog.

And he could eat my head.

So, all in all, it was a pretty darn fabulous birthday party and it wasn't even mine! Thanks for being born, Lizzy!

  1. Can I get a wallet of your senior picture? :)

I was relieved to know the cupcakes came from a cupcake shop and not the ones from RR. Those are not nearly as good!!

    Mmmm, I'm officially hungry.

  4. Such a nice boyfriend! I've heard amazing things about the salted caramel . . . I'm sure it's on my list of must try items.

And, well, congrats on the free hamburger!
